Attorney Generals Department
The requirement to ensure service delivery of content sourced from different and disparate secure networks causes havoc in many areas of government service delivery.
CISTECH designed and employed a solution for Quality of Service that enabled not only the prioritisation of application level services within a single enclave, but also the structured prioritisation of services between disparate secure domains across a number of bearer types.
The implementation of the system allows for critical information to be delivered in a timely and trusted manned whilst ensuring that the most critical services were always provided a guarantee. Normally when dealing with a single information processing domain, the structure of QoS allows for the preferential tratment of one service over another. The complexity increases in cases such as the Attorney Generals system where multiple applications from multiple enclaves are traversing a common bearer.
Each enclave is given priority treatment and applications within that enclave are treated in accordence with their respective priority. The sum of the applications is then given a third use case dimension and requires that under certain conditions, a higher priority application from a low priority enclave is treated in preference to a low priority application from a high priority enclave.
The end result is a QoS solution that is templatable, scalable, and meets the unique requirements of this customer.
