Defence
CISTECH deliver ICON/WAVE system to Headquarters Joint Operations Command enabling communications to defence mobile assets around the world.
The system provides a multitude of Consoles throughout the facility support many roles and capabilities.
Custom Cipher Console
Platform The software can run on a standard Intel platform (Windows XP SP2/Windows 2000 .Net Framework).
Multiple Role Selection The console application allows an operator to select multiple roles allowing amalgamation of roles during low traffic periods.
Orphan Channel Tracking The console network tracks and displays monitored and unmonitored channels on the system. This is available to every operator.
Automatic Field Location Tracking If a field radio moves from one radio location to another, the network will automatically append the new location to all consoles on the network as soon as a selcall is sent from the new location.
Emergency (PAN PAN) An emergency call can be triggered by either a destination selcall ID and/or a status bit. The emergency call provides a unique audible and visual indication.
Call Logging Each call is logged with the time of arrival, answered time and the operator position that answered the call.
Operation Sustainability Once a client has received its configuration from the server, the client can continue to operate even if the server is subsequently taken off line.
Redundancy Multiple 'live' servers can operate simultaneously providing permanent available backup in case of system failure. When a configuration change is made by a console, all servers append the change.
TSoIP End Point Device (EPD)
The TSoIP EPD receives the data stream at the very edge of the network and translates it into a selcall tone sequence to be transmitted over the radio network.
The system removes the need for wide band trunks to send selcall tones across a network.
Current Supported Selcall Standards
Audible EEA, CCIR, EIA, ZVEI1 & ZVEI2.
Sub-Audible CTCSS
TSoIP EPD Overview
Multicast Networking The TSoIP EPD operates in multicast mode enabling multiple consoles to monitor the same channel from anywhere in the IP network. Each module has a unique ID allowing selection and logging of each channel individually.
Tone Acknowledgement The system provides an acknowledge tone to field radio's after the selcall data stream has been received by a console. This provides assurance to the field user that a console operator has received their call.
Selcall Datastream Resend Once the TSoIP module has decoded the selcall tone sequence and sent it into the IP network, it waits a predetermined time for an "acknowledge" packet from a console before resending the packet.
Remote Configurable The SoIP module has a password protected Web Configuration page for network and radio configurations. See Table 1. Configurable Parameters Network Radio SoIP IP Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway TX Multicast IP Address RX Multicast IP Address NTP IP Address SNMP Server IP Address SNMP Community String SoIP Unique ID Date/Time Selcall Standard Tone Sequence Tones Duration Gap Duration Preamble Duration Postamble Duration Audio Transmit Level ACK Tone Duration* ACK Tone Frequency* Tone Tolerance**
